Since the launch of the North West Student Wise Enrichment Programme (SWEP) by the North West Community Development Council ten years ago, over 2,000 children from underprivileged families have benefited from it.
This year, the Northwest CDC introduced a new financial management course to empower children from disadvantaged families with financial knowledge, fostering healthy consumption habits from an early age. This initiative lays a robust foundation for financial awareness.
This program plays a crucial role in helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds build self-confidence and master life skills through modules such as public speaking and active learning. It aims to complement the current education curriculum to provide a holistic developmental framework for the students.
This event was held at the Singapore Zoo.
