Happy to host the Skillsfuture Forum organised by SkillsFuture SG and Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI)!
Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education, was the Guest-of-honour, and he was accompanied by Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education.
The theme of the forum is “Recognising Skills, Building Careers”. Attendees learnt how companies and industry bodies are working together to certify and recognise the skills that will improve the employability of workers.
SkillsFuture Forum is also the official launch event for the SkillsFuture Festival 2024.
This festival, which runs till 21 August, presents a diverse array of exciting opportunities for individuals to discover how they can enhance their employability or cultivate their workforce skills.
The event also introduced the Skills Pathway for Cybersecurity by the Singapore Computer Society, one of SkillsFuture SG’s Skills Development Partners, to help employers recognise skills from formal and informal learning.
Thirteen employers that serve on the SCS Skills Pathway for Cybersecurity Committee pledged their support for this initiative, with Minister Chan and MOS Gan as witnesses.
