This event, held at Singapore Expo, had 1,000 volunteers attend the People’s Association Community Emergency Response Team (PA CERT)’s 20th Anniversary Appreciation Dinner to commemorate PA CERT members for their outstanding contributions in building an emergency-prepared community.
Minister Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development, was the Guest-of-honour.
The event commemorated the contributions of our PA CERT volunteers in strengthening emergency preparedness, collaborating with the community to ignite the kampung spirit and build a nation where the people look out for one another, standing together in times of crisis.
Our PA CERT movement comprises of 8,000 volunteers including 1,000 leaders, demonstrating its crucial role in community resilience!
PA C2Es and CERT were recognised with the National Civil Emergency Preparedness Awards and the one-off PA CERT 20th Anniversary Awards, including the Special Achievement Award and Most Commendable GRC Award. Congratulations to all the C2Es and CERT volunteers!
The C2E Council EXCO and young CERT volunteers put up an exhilarating cajon performance! The atmosphere was also electrifying with music by Aika Aili and The Big Break. As a finale activity, everyone had fun doing a lifesaving dance together.
The “PA CERT for the Nation” exhibition, and many generations of CERT vests, were also put on display to showcase the history, milestones, and journey of PA CERT through the years.
Awards were given to outstanding C2Es which have made significant contributions and consistently achieved very high standards in preparing themselves and their communities for emergencies. Congratulations to all C2Es who have received the National Civil Emergency Preparedness (NCEP) awards, including Tampines Central, East, North and West C2Es for attaining the Platinum award, and Tampines Changkat C2E for attaining the Gold award!
