Happy to host International E-Waste Day (IEWD) with ALBA Group Asia!
Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, was the Guest-of-honour.
IEWD 2024 is one of the Clean & Green Singapore (CGS) community events leading up to the annual CGS Day National Environment Agency.
This year’s theme, “Data Security,” emphasised empowering individuals to safeguard their personal information before recycling data-bearing devices—an essential aspect of promoting safe and responsible e-waste management.
At the event, it was announced that starting in 2025, residents across the island will enjoy free doorstep collection of bulky electronic waste, including refrigerators, washing machines, and televisions.
There is currently a nominal fee of $40 for the removal of bulky e-waste.
