Jetstar Pacific, the Vietnam-based member of the Jetstar Group, now flies from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City.
The new service is offered daily, with four Jetstar flights per day between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City.
Jetstar said in a media statement on Monday that the new service marks the start of an expansion into scheduled international services for Jetstar Pacific, previously a domestic carrier. It will also allow the airline to work more closely with Jetstar Asia and Jetstar Airways.
Mr Le Hong Ha, Chief Executive Officer of Jetstar Pacific, was in Singapore to celebrate the milestone.
“With Jetstar airlines already serving 24 destinations from Singapore, our new service will give Jetstar Pacific customers low fares access to the Group network and a range of new travel opportunities,” he said.
The inaugural launch was hosted by Singapore Emcee Lester Leo.
“Today represents the next step in our growth as we expand our low fares offering to international services,” he added.
Jetstar Pacific will continue its international expansion with new flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok from Dec 10, 2014.
