Yara International Africa & Asia (YAA) held the Knowledge Exchange (KX) with 120 participants on site and 1800 participants online!
The KX event is a crucial annual strategic gathering for YAA, allowing participants to contribute to the YAA strategy and Yara’s ambition to achieve a nature-positive food future.
It was inspiring to hear EVP Fernanda Lopes Larsen speak about their noble mission of growing a nature-positive food future and also especially about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the business.
What stood out to me most about the event was the remarkable support and encouragement shown among participants from 19 different countries across Africa and Asia, despite many meeting for the first time.
It was heartwarming to see everyone come together with a shared goal of making a positive impact on the world.
I had many takeaways from the keynote speakers, Darren Thayre on innovation and Shoon Yin Lim on DEI.
Ineet Narula Barthwal joined them in a dynamic panel discussion moderated by Fernanda, and it was full of insightful ideas about leadership, DEI, and cultural transformation.
One of the highlights of the event for me was the gala dinner, where participants wore traditional ethnic clothing, showcasing the vibrant and colorful cultures of Kenya, Ghana, Rwanda, Indonesia, China, India and many others. It was a memorable experience and a testament to the power of diversity.
