Supply Chain Challenge is the case competition for polytechnic and ITE students to gain exposure to the logistics industry, showcase their creativity and talents, and build valuable relationships with industry professionals and leaders.
Singapore Emcee Lester Leo was the emcee for the Challenge Finals.
Supply Chain Challenge (SCC) is a case competition opened to full-time polytechnic and ITE students.
Organised by the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) and SIM University, SCC is designed to be a platform for students to experience the logistics industry and try their hands at tackling real life supply chain issues.
Finalist teams get to be mentored by logistics professionals from a Mentor Partner for a period of six weeks – applying their logistics knowledge to understand a real-life challenge faced by the Mentor Partner and propose a feasible solution.
Lasting from May to July, SCC will see various activities that provide opportunities for participants to interact with logistics professionals, hear their stories and find out about the career opportunities available in the industry.

Boot camp – 4 & 5 June 2016
- The finalists teams will get to work on a common real-life case at SIM University campus, visit company facilities and interact with the management staff on site.
- Three teams will be shortlisted per Business Case based on the assessment criteria outlined. Since there are 8 Business Cases, a total of 24 teams will be selected to attend the Boot Camp.
- This two-days Boot Camp on 4-5 June 2016 is designed to equip the selected teams more effective tools and know-how to enhance their presentation to the Company. Invited speakers will showcase best practices in presentation and report-writing, as well as overview on Singapore Logistics and Transport Sector.
Finals – 22 July 2016
- The finalist teams will showcase their recommendations to the public and a panel of judges, where. the champion, first runner-up and the second runner-up will be chosen.
