During his speech at Semicon SEA, PM Anwar announced Malaysia’s National Semiconductor Strategy, where he shared Malaysia aims to attract RM500billion of investment in integrated circuit (IC) design, advanced packaging and manufacturing equipment for semiconductor chips.
Semicon SEA is the premier event that promotes the growth of the semiconductor and microelectronics ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
The opening ceremony earlier in the day was graced by YB Senator Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry, Malaysia.
The closing ceremony of the trade show was graced by YB Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade & industry, Malaysia.
Emcee Lester Leo was the emcee for Semicon Southeast Asia 2024.
