Lester Leo was the emcee for Outlook on Climate and Nature for Asia, organised by NUS Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions in partnership with National Climate Change Secretariat, Singapore!
The pre-COP28 symposium gathered people from different sectors – academia, business, government and many others – to discuss emerging issues that will be especially relevant for the Asia Pacific.
Many attendees flew in from across the world, including government officials from ASEAN and Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) Member States.
The event was to build regional capacity on upcoming issues of concern for Southeast Asia, as well as promote the development of new partnerships and collaborations that could help in the development of solutions to address the twin planetary crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.
The location was charming, featuring a backdrop of green nature visible through the glass doors. This setting perfectly complemented the event’s nature-themed topic.
