Singapore Emcee Lester Leo was the emcee for the National Awards (Covid-19) Ceremony, Ministry of Manpower!
The National Awards (COVID-19) recognises individuals and teams who have made outstanding contributions to Singapore’s fight during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Manpower & Sustainability and the Environment presented the awards.
The Public Administration Medal, Commendation Medal and COVID-19 Resilience Medal were presented to the deserving recipients.
In the early days of the virus when COVID-19 clusters emerged in the dormitories, the MOM teams responded comprehensively to contain the spread, set up medical and triage facilities to protect the health of the migrant workers, and saw to their needs and welfare.
Ultimately Singapore’s community, businesses, and Government came together to overcome the crisis and emerge stronger. These State Awards honour those who have done their duty and more to fight COVID-19. Through them, the State also pays tribute to the thousands more whose contributions and sacrifices saw Singapore through the pandemic.
