HDB Greenprint @ Teck Ghee

About 5,800 households in Teck Ghee can look forward to an improved living environment under the HDB Greenprint (??????). Singapore Emcee Lester Leo hosted the HDB Greenprint @ Teck Ghee, which was launched on 4 July 2015, by Minister of State for Health, Dr Lam Pin Min.

First unveiled in 2012, the HDB Greenprint brings sustainable living into existing public housing estates. Yuhua in Jurong East was selected as the pilot Greenprint neighbourhood, with works scheduled for completion later this year.

The HDB Greenprint will introduce sustainability initiatives in areas such as waste management, as well as energy and water conservation. Works include, among others:
 · construction of an automated waste collection system
 · installation of solar panels on roof tops
 · enhancement of pedestrian paths and cycling tracks
 · installation of secured bicycle parking facilities
 · intensification of greenery around the neighbourhood
