With Formula One racing an annual affair in Singapore, organisers Singapore GP have set up its first pop-up merchandise store outside of its Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Emcee Lester Leo was the emcee for F1 Singapore Night Race Pitstop @ Orchard.
Emcee Lester also hosted guests Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman for a short game segment.
The Pit Stop @ Orchard sits on the walkway between Wisma Atria and Takashimaya and features an array of exclusive Singapore GP merchandise.
“We wanted to bring about more awareness of the 2016 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix and Orchard Road was the obvious choice,” said Fiona Smith, Singapore GP’s director of media and communications.
“Orchard Road is a pivotal touchpoint for us to reach out not only to Singaporeans but also tourists.”
According to Smith, the pop-up store has “launched with great success”. A high turnout at this year’s Grand Prix could see a return of the store, with the possibility of branching out into the heartlands.
