C517 Village is a dedicated space for cyber enthusiasts at DEF CON SG (Defcon Singapore Hacking Conference), offering a hands-on look at how networks and systems are attacked and defended, particularly within the context of Singapore’s critical infrastructure.
Emcee Lester Leo is the emcee for CSIT C517 Village at Defcon Singapore closed door invite only Dinner event.

Attendees to C517 village @ Defcon Singapore can expect guided introductions and immersive scenarios spanning malware analysis, network security, adversarial system testing, and more.
Highlights include AI-powered malware reverse engineering, controlled data exfiltration exercises, and a hack-a-USV challenge.
Alongside the practical sessions, a series of talks unpacks attacker techniques across vulnerability discovery, exploit research, and red-teaming, making it a worthwhile stop for practitioners at any stage of their journey.
Running alongside the village is TISC@DEF CON SG, a special edition of the annual Capture The Flag competition organised by CSIT.
The competition is designed to surface Singapore’s top CTF talent, giving participants a chance to test their cybersecurity and programming skills through a series of challenging, time-pressured puzzles. TISC@DEF CON SG is an individual competition held in jeopardy-style format, covering domains such as Forensics, IoT, Pwn, Reverse Engineering, and Web.
The competition runs across two stages, online qualifiers followed by on-site finals.
