CSA Cybersecurity Innovation Day

Lester Leo was the emcee for the Cybersecurity Innovation Day, co-organised by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and NUS Enterprise, the entrepreneurial arm of the National University of Singapore.

The Guest-of-honour was Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Smart Nation and Cybersecurity.

This event revolved around addressing the dynamic nature of the cybersecurity landscape, where cyber attackers continuously devise new strategies to breach defenses. Emphasizing the need to protect against evolving threats, the event aims to actively promote and support innovative ideas in the field of cybersecurity.

Minister also launched the Cybersecurity Industry Call for Innovation (CyberCall 2023), to invite companies to propose innovative solutions that address the cybersecurity challenges faced by end-users.

Each selected solution that fulfils the eligibility criteria may receive a funding of up to S$1,000,000 under CSA’s Cybersecurity Co-Innovation and Development Fund (CCDF).

There were also three exchange of partnership agreements and MOU signing at the event:

1. CSA and NUS established S$20 million CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre.

2. CSA and Nanyang Technological University Singapore launched the S$62 million CyberSG R&D Programme Office.

3. NUS and ISTARI, the global cybersecurity investment arm of Temasek, will collaborate in the areas of internships, mentorships and joint events under the CyberSG TIG Collaboration Centre.
