The SCIC Responsible Care Awards was a hybrid event which featured 50 guests on site at the Shangri-la hotel and about 350 online via the Zoom platform.
The SCIC Responsible Care Leadership Award was presented to the following deserving companies at the SCIC Responsible Care Awards ceremony held on 5 Mar 2021 by the Guest of Honour for that evening, Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry:
- ExxonMobil Chemical Asia Pacific Pte Ltd
- Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited
- Shell Companies in Singapore
- The Polyolefin Company (Singapore) Pte Ltd
The SCIC Responsible Care Leadership Award was introduced in 2014 to recognise companies who have attained the Excellence Award for three consecutive years for all codes relevant to their nature of business operations. As a Leadership Award recipient, the Responsible Care signatory company is exempted from a year’s Responsible Care submission to divert their resources to helping to build industry’s capacity and capability through various industry programmes. It is the belief of Responsible Care® signatories that the chemical industry’s knowledge in improving their Health, Safety, Environment and Security performance can be effectively enhanced through sharing of good practices and learning from one another.
